Couples in their 40s and 50s will be considered very young and you will not find many children on the Australian cruises. The Sun Princess has 3 pools, but none of them have glass enclosures, so during nasty weather you will find most everyone inside of the ship making it feel a bit crowded.
Movies under the stars is planned for placement on the Sun Princess in April of 2010 and will be a great entertainment option, Princess has been having great luck with this option and seems to be installing these screens on all of their ships. The food on the Sun Princess cruise ship is rumored to be some of the best food along with great service. Of course a lot of this depends on a persons expectations and I would not want to lead anyone astray.
All in all the Sun Princess lives up to the high standards that Princess cruise line holds, even though she is a bit older and weathered. Princess takes good care of their cruise ships and the Australian cruises on the Sun Princess should be a great option when searching for authentic Australian cruises.
