Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tips and Tricks for the Novice or Seasoned Cruiser!

Princess cruiseline cruisers, whether first timers, or seasoned cruisers, need to know the tips and tricks of Princess cruises for making the most of their cruise and spending their hard earned money wisely.

I do not want to say that Princess Cruise Line pays their employees to push expensive optionsmoney on guests while cruising, but Princess does sign the pay checks. Due to the perpetual offers by Princess employees to entice cruisers to pay extra for amenities, I have decided to publish this guide “Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tips and Tricks”. This guide should help you to avoid incurring any extra expenses, at least the unexpected ones, and let you in on some secrets for how to save money while aboard your Princess cruise ship. I will also mention some options to spend more, but have a much more enjoyable trip because of it.

Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tip #1:

When boarding the Princess cruise of your dreams, get your room squared away, then head for the customer service desk to purchase your soda card or coffee card. They come at a nominal fee and will stop some of the bombardment of sales pitches for them. They are a great value, and it is rumored that the coffee card can be used on more than one cruise...

When dining, your waitstaff will show up with sparkling and still water, these carry a charge, so if you are on a tight budget you will need to request tap water, or use your beverage card. The waitstaff will also offer you a choice in wines, be sure to look at the wine list, as often these will be the more expensive bottles that your waiter brings. Somewhat of a hard sell, but if you know the tips and tricks, you can watch your pennies and laugh at their offerings ;) With any luck this will help you to enjoy your cruise all the more, knowing that you are ahead of the sales game.

Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tip #2:

If you enjoy a quiet area without a lot of excitement and laughter and childs play, then you really need to consider the Sanctuary. The Sanctuary is an adults only area that only seats 20 people, almost every Princess cruise ship now offers this amenity. The price for a lounge chair in the Sanctuary is anywhere from $15/day to $20/day, depending on the specific Princess cruise ship you may be aboard. For those who want some quiet adult time this is a must, and I have never heard a complaint from this commodity.

Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tip#3:

If you are going on a cruise that will be stopping at lots of exciting ports of call that you wish to explore, you may consider the option of an inside room versus a balcony suite. Granted, a balcony suite is a must on an Alaskan or Panama Canal cruise, but if you are not going to spend much time onboard, and would rather be out in the streets of these exciting ports of call, an inside room might be just fine, and it could save you a couple thousand dollars. This really depends on the specific cruise, and your personal preferences, so just keep it in mind when choosing your room and your ship, as some ships do have more balcony rooms and you would be hard pressed to reserve an inside cabin. Such would be the case on the Island Princess, due to the fact that it is narrower and has mostly balcony suites.

Princess Cruiseline Cruises Tip#4:

Investigate each port of call and the tours that Princess offers for that port of call. Some ports you will want to discover on your own without paying for the Princess tour. Others you will definitely want to take the Princess tour, to list these would take months of typing, so I will leave this up to you, but I want you to be aware that you can have just as much fun in some ports on your own. So do your homework and make your cruise the dream vacation cruise of a lifetime.
